This tutorial will guide you through the process of setting up and using the SpeedLine Buffet Planning tool to print a report listing the items and quantities you need to put out for the day's buffets.
Before completing the Buffet Planning SpeedStart Tutorial:
•If you have not yet set up set up Sales Forecasting, set it up now so that SpeedLine can use estimated sales to help predict your buffet needs. To set up sales forecasting quickly, complete the Sales Forecasting SpeedStart Tutorial.
•If you have not yet set up Prep Planning, complete the Prep Planning SpeedStart Tutorial. The buffet plan is dependant on information you enter during prep planning setup.
•Use SpeedLine for at least two weeks. This will provide historical sales data to the Prep Planning and Buffet Planning tools. As more sales information is recorded, the buffet plan becomes more accurate.
After completing the Buffet Planning tutorial, you will know how to:
•Enter the initial Store Manager settings required to use the Buffet Planning tool.
•Choose how to determine buffet consumption, and enter named buffets.
•Construct a template to specify food items offered for each buffet.
•View and print a buffet plan.
