The Sales Forecasting feature of Operations Planning can provide you with accurate sales projections. These forecasts, based on your previous sales data, can also be adjusted according to your experience and knowledge of upcoming events.
With sales forecasting, you can do the following:
•View projected daily sales, hourly sales, sales by meal time (e.g., lunch or dinner), or sales by meal time and order type (e.g., delivery orders at lunch, dinner carryout, or dinner bar sales).
•Review the past four weeks of sales history, weekly sales totals, daily temperatures, and notes.
•See at-a-glance how this year's sales compare to last year's during the same time period.
•Look back at past weeks to review actual sales and forecasts.
•Import sales history from a previous POS to jumpstart your sales forecasting.
To quickly set up and view your sales forecast data, use the guided, step-by-step instructions in the Sales Forecasting SpeedStart Tutorial.
Sales Forecasting also feeds sales projections into the other Operations Planning tools (Scheduling and Prep Planning).
