Add Tender, Coupon, or Other Special Functions Buttons

Scroll Prev Top Next More

Adding a Special Function button to a menu panel allows you to complete actions from the panel that you would otherwise have to complete from the Full Review screen.

For example, adding a Tender or Coupons button to a menu screen can improve the speed of order completion in situations where orders are taken primarily on one screen; typically at a front counter, bar, or buffet station.

To Add a Tender or Other Special Function Button:

1.Open an existing panel in the Panel Designer

2.Click the Special Functions button ButtonSpecialFunctions on the Components toolbar.

3.Press and drag in the Panel Designer workspace to add the button.

4.In the Components Property Editor, select a function from the Special Function list.

Note HM

Note Menu panel Tender, Quick Tender, and Exact Quick Tender buttons are only available for use in Terminal if an order type has been selected for the station in Store Manager. The Tender Station option must also be selected in the Store Manager Station Options> Register tab.

5.If you are linking to another menu file or to a coupon group, in the Special Function Parameter field, enter the menu or coupon group name.

6.Click in the Caption and Button Style fields to enter the button text and select a style.

Best Practice HM

Hint Background and font colors for each style are set in Store Manager. See Set Colors for Menu Button Styles in the Store Manager Help.

7.Use the Components Property Editor to edit the button properties, if required.

8.On the File menu, click Close to close the Panel Designer.

9.Run a Menu Check.

10.Save the menu file and refresh Terminal to see your changes.
