A modifier (A modifier is a choice that is applied to a menu item, such as a pepperoni topping on a pizza.) that is included in the base price of an item is called an included modifier. The price of an included modifier is actually deducted from an item's price, rather than added to it like other modifiers; however, an included modifier will never cause the price of a menu item to fall below its base price.
An example of a menu item using an included modifier would be a create-your-own pizza with its first topping free. If a customer orders this pizza with several toppings, the price of the included modifier will be deducted from the total price.
Important Every item that you add an Included Modifier price node to must already have a default base price. See Understanding Prices for more information on adding prices to items. |
To Create an Included Modifier Price:
•In the Menu Tree, right-click the item or group that requires an Included Modifier price, point to Add, and then click Single Price or Multi Price.
Note If a menu item is available in more than one size, or if you offer value pricing based on the amount ordered, create a multi price node. For menu items that are not sized use a single price node. |
