Most stock items are added to Inventory by importing them using the Import Items From Menu Wizard, but this wizard will only import what is included in the menu. Therefore, non-menu stock items that you want to track in Inventory, such as pepper shakers or cleaning supplies, must be added manually.
To add a new stock item manually, or edit an existing stock item, follow the instructions below.
To Add a Stock Item Manually
Note If you are adding a stock item that is found in your menu file, use the Import Items From Menu wizard to import it. This reduces the chance of data entry errors when transferring information from Menu Designer to Inventory. |
1.Go to Settings> Inventory Settings> Stock Items.
2.Click the Add button to add a new entry.
3.Enter General Stock Item Settings for the new item.
