1.Go to Settings> Money> Tax Groups.

2.Under the Tax Groups pane, click the Add button.

3.In the Group Name field, enter a name for the new tax group.

4.In the Jurisdiction field, do one of the following:

•If this tax group only applies to one of multiple tax areas you operate in (for example, if yours is a multi-state operation) enter the state or area where the tax group is in effect.

-or-

•If the tax group will be applied to all areas you operate in, leave the Jurisdiction field blank.

5.Under the Tax Items pane, click the Add button  to open the Select Tax Item window.

6.Select a tax item to add to the tax group and then click OK.

7.To add another tax item to the same group, repeat steps 5 and 6.

This Pop tax group contains Deposit and Sales Tax items. Both of these charges will be applied to menu items priced with the Pop tax group.

This State Tax tax group contains only one tax item--the sales tax applicable in Washington state.

8.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.

9.Refresh Terminal to implement your new taxes.

1.Go to Settings> Money> Tax Groups.

2.In the Tax Groups pane, click the group you want to modify to select it. The tax items contained in the group are displayed in the Tax Items pane.

3.To delete one of the tax items from the group:

a.Click the item and then under the Tax Groups pane, click the Delete button.

b.Click OK to confirm the deletion. The item is removed from the group.

4.To add a new tax item to the group:

a.Under the Tax Groups pane, click the Add button.

b.In the Select Tax Item window, click the item to add, and then click OK. The item is added to the group.

5.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.
