When customers order a pizza, you want your order-taker to suggest adding extra cheese. Here is how you would create that suggestive sell opportunity in Menu Designer. (This example assumes that you have a pizza group and an extra cheese modifier in your Menu Tree.)
To Create the Suggestive Sell Opportunity:
1.In the Menu Tree, right-click the group node that contains your pizza items, point to Add, and then click Enforced Modifier.
2.In the Name field (located at the top of the Property Editor), enter a name for the enforced modifier. (For example, "Extra Cheese?")
3.Ensure that the Active check box is selected.
4.Right-click in the Nodes list (located below the Active check box), and then click Add.
5.Right-click in the Modifiers area, point to Add, and then select the extra cheese modifier.
6.In the Behavior list, click Yes/No. This creates "Yes" and "No" buttons in the prompt.
7.Click the Messages tab.
8.In the Prompt field, enter the upsell prompt phrase. (For example, "Extra cheese on that?") This phrase will appear when the enforced modifier is activated.
9.Click OK.
The extra cheese prompt will now appear whenever an order-taker adds a pizza to the customer's order. If you want to further customize this enforced modifier and have it appear only when specific pizzas are ordered, you can add modifier prerequisites. See the Adding Modifier Prerequisites topic.
