A Coupon Only Menu is a menu file that only contains coupon information.
This type of menu is not often used, as it is can only contain coupons that are not item-specific (since there are no items to refer to in a coupon only menu).
If a chain-wide menu is in use, but an individual location would like to supplement this with their own offers, head office can password-protect a menu, but give a restricted editing mode password to individual locations, which will allow them to add and modify their own coupons. See Allow Location-Specific Coupons.
You can also customize offers for different locations in a chain by assigning Store Groups to coupon groups or nodes. See Managing Store Menus for Multiple Locations.
To Create a Coupon Only Menu:
2.Click on the Menu Root , click the General tab, and then select the Coupons Only check box. This causes all non-coupon information in the menu file to be ignored.
3.Right-click the Coupons node, point to Add, and click Group.
4.Name the group as desired.
5.Right-click the new coupons group, point to Add, and click Coupon.
6.Fill in the tabs for the new coupon.
Important You can not add any item-based requirements to the Requirements tab of coupons in a coupons only menu, and you must select a Select Type of "Ticket" in the Application rules. |
7.After adding all coupons, save the menu.
