Prep Parts are time periods used for preparing food (such as pizza dough) in advance. When you define prep parts, you give each prep time a name and tell SpeedLine when it starts. These periods will appear in the prep report you print for staff.

1.Go to the Settings> System> Operations Planning icon_opsPlanning> General tab.

2.In the Prep Parts area, click the Add SM_PlusSign2 button.

3.In the Prep Part Name field, enter the part of the day you prepare the food, and then click in the Caption field to auto-fill it with the same name.

4.Click in the Start Time field and enter the time you would normally start preparing the food.

5.Repeat steps 2 to 4 to define more prep times.

Note The number of prep parts must not exceed the number of day parts. Each prep part you add should start before the day part when the food will be served. Prep parts that have no corresponding day part will not show item quantities on the prep plan.

6.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.
