Follow the instructions in this topic to customize how employee personal data, shifts, and schedules are exported at day end.
Hint If you want to export only employee shifts to a third-party payroll company, see the Customize Export of Employee Shifts for Payroll topic. |

2.Select Create Employee Information File to create an employee export (.sef) binary file.

a.Select Save As Text.
b.In the Path field, enter a file path or click the browse button to select the location where the text file will be saved.
c.Select Use Template to save the forecast file using text file templates you have defined. Templates will allow a head office to filter employee information so that some data fields are excluded.
d.In the Template File field, enter the file path or click the browse button to locate and select a pre-defined template.
5.Select Active Employees Only to export shift data only for employees who are currently working (excludes those on leave, terminated, or laid off).
6.In the Schedules to Include area, select Current Pay Period to export schedules from the pay period that is in effect when day end is run.
7.In the Future Pay Periods to Include field, type or select the number of future pay periods to export schedules for. This information can be used to compare the labor cost of future shifts with forecasted sales.
8.In the Days to Continue Including Shifts From Previous Pay Period field, type or select a value for the number of days after the end of the previous pay period to continue exporting all shifts from the previous pay period when a shift export is done.
See an example [For example, set the number of days to "4" to include all shifts from the previous period when you export shifts any time during the first 4 days of the current pay period. This allows data from shifts that were edited after midnight on the last day of the previous pay period to be included when an export is done early in the next pay period.].
Note Be sure you always run Day End on the day you have set the export to take place. |
