Store Manager Help

1.Open your menu in Menu Designer.

2.Click the menu Root and then click the Item Categories tab.

3.Record the names of the item categories you want to use on your Terminal tickets list, exactly as they appear in Menu Designer (including capitalization).

4.In Store Manager, go to Settings> System> Item Category Columns.  

5.If orders have already been taken today, a warning informs you that if you change an item category during the business day, existing tickets will list the number of items in the changed category as zero. Do one of the following:

• If you are entering a new category on a blank line, this will not affect existing categories. Click OK to acknowledge the warning.

•If you are changing the name of an existing category, click OK to acknowledge the warning and then make the change, or if you do not want existing tickets to show zero for the current category, wait until you have run day end for the current day before continuing.

6.Click the item category row and type the name of the item category you recorded from Menu Designer, using the same spelling and capitalization. These categories can now be selected when adding an item category column (see To Add an Item Category Column below).

1.Go to Settings> System> Ticket Grid Templates.

2.In the Template Name list, click the name of the template you want to add the item category column to.

3.In the Customize Columns area, click the New Column button. The Ticket Grid Column Wizard opens.

4.Click Next.

5.On the Line Definition page, click the Expand button next to the Items category, and then click the # Item Category you want to list. The numbers after "# Item Category" refer to the row numbers in the Item Category Columns table.

6.Click the arrow and then in the Caption field enter a heading for the column (usually the category name). Click Next.

7.Click Next and then click No to adding another column.

8.Click Finish. The new column is listed in the Template Name list.

9.Adjust the column widths of other columns to make room for your new column, if necessary.

10.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.

11.Refresh Terminal. When a ticket includes items that are in the category specified, the number of such items will be shown in the new column.
