Store Groups are an advanced Menu Designer feature that should only be used by a restaurant's head office for multi-store administration. The Store Groups tab in the menu root allows a head office to list a store or group of stores that may have different menus from each other. These groups then appear in menu nodes so you can restrict menu elements to groups of stores, or to individual store locations. A store "group" can contain one or more stores.

A store's assigned group is entered in Store Manager on the Store Information General tab (see Update Store Information in the Store Manager Help).

After adding them to the Store Groups tab in the Menu Root, store groups can be assigned to any menu node.

To Add Store Groups

1.Click the Menu Root ButtonRootMenu, and then click the Store Groups tab.

2.Click the Add button. bAdd

3.In the Name field, enter the store group name.

2.Select an initial value for the new group's check boxes in each menu node:

Select All Selected to have the new store group check box initially selected for all menu nodes.

-or-

Select All Cleared to have the new store group check box initially cleared for all menu nodes.

-or-

Select Base Selection on, and then select an existing store group with similar menu nodes in the list. The new store group will be selected for the same menu nodes as the one it is based on.

4.Click OK. The new group is available in the Store Groups tab of each menu node.

5.Select or clear the new group's check box for individual nodes until only menu nodes that you want to be active in the new store group's menu are selected. See Assign Store Groups to a Node.

6.Click the Save button ButtonSave on the toolbar.

Note HM

Important To specify the group to use at a store, start Store Manager and go to> Settings tab> System> Store Information, Store Groups field. Copy the name from the Menu Designer Store Groups tab and paste it in the Store Groups field. The names must match exactly. A menu that uses store groups will not open at the store unless a store group is entered in Store Manager at the store.
