Add Notes

Add a Note node if you want to record additional information about an item (Anything that can be sold to a customer is considered a menu item. Pizza, drinks, and promotional merchandise are examples of menu items.) or group in your Menu Tree, or if you want to provide yourself with a reminder to adjust something in your menu at a later date.

The information that is entered in the note can only be viewed by clicking the Note node in Menu Designer. It can also be set to display as a hint, warning, or error when you use the Check Menu function.

To Add A Note to an Item or Group:

1.Right-click on the item IconItemModifierNode or group IconGroupNode you wish to add a note to, point to Add, and then click Note.

2.In the Show on Check Menu list, select whether to display the note as a hint, warning, or error when you check the menu.

Important Hints and warnings do not require any action, but errors must be removed before the menu can be used in Terminal.

3.Type the message in the text field.

4.To view or change the note, click on the note node IconNoteNode in the Menu Tree.

5.Click anywhere on the Menu Designer screen when you are done.

To Delete a Note from an Item or Group:

1.Right-click the note node IconNoteNode you want to delete.

2.Click Delete, and then click Yes. The note node disappears from the Menu Tree.
