Enforced Items
Enforced items provide a way to make sure that the order-taker only selects specific menu items when placing an order. In Terminal, enforced items appear as buttons in a pop-up prompt window. When the pop-up appears, the order-taker can only select from the list of enforced items; they can not choose a non-enforced item from the menu. Using enforced items can greatly increase order accuracy and reduce entry errors.

Enforced item nodes can be used when creating value meals or scripted upsell opportunities. By using multiple enforced items, you can build an intelligent upsell order script that will ensure that your order-takers do not miss a single suggestive-selling opportunity. See the Creating Suggestive Selling Scripts tutorial to learn how to use enforced items to create an intelligent upsell order script.
Enforced Modifiers
Enforced modifier nodes prevent the order-taker from forgetting to add a required modifier (A modifier (or choice) is an item in your restaurant that is not sold on its own, but is added to a menu item that is sold. For example, pepperoni would be considered a modifier, because it is not sold on its own, but added to other items that are saleable, like a pizza or sandwich.) to a menu item, such as a crust, sauce, or dressing selection.
