SpeedLine integrates with Whozz Calling (via ethernet link) to display the phone numbers of callers on screen. When an incoming call is touched, a customer's record displays if the customer has no open tickets, and the select tickets window displays if there are open tickets from the current day. Follow the procedure below to configure SpeedLine to work with your caller ID hardware.
To Set Up Caller ID
1.Go to the Settings> System> Caller ID > Configuration tab.
2.Select the Active check box.
3.In the Station Mode list, select one of the following:
•Any Lines allows the order taker to select any line from any station.
-or-
•Configured Lines allows you to define which lines are available on each SpeedLine station.
Important If you select the Configured Lines option, complete the Assign Caller ID Lines to a Station procedure after completing the steps below. |
4.If your phone company adds extra digits to Caller ID data, in the Trim Telephone # Characters area Leading and Trailing fields, enter the number of digits to trim off at the beginning or end of telephone numbers.
5.If area codes are not identified by your Caller ID provider, in the Local Area Code field, enter your area code.
6.From the Type list, select the Caller ID system you have installed.
7.If you are using serial CallerID, in the Station field, enter the name of the SpeedLine station that will host SpeedLine's Caller ID Service.
8.In the Display While area, select when to display the Terminal Caller ID window:
•Select Logged Out to display the window only if the station is not in use.
-or-
•Select No Ticket Active to display the window only if the station user is not currently working on a ticket.
9.If you are using an ethernet connection, in the UDP Connection area Port Number field, enter the port number for the connection (default 3520).
10.Click the Caller ID Lines tab.
11.Click the Add button.
12.Click in the Caption column for the new line and enter the caption that will appear in the Terminal Caller ID window (for example, Line 1).
13.Repeat the two previous steps until all lines are added.
14.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.
