You may want to restrict food items or sizes that are available for addition to a buffet template. For example, you may want to include only medium pepperoni, Hawaiian, and vegetarian pizzas on your "Lunch Pizza" buffet, and prevent other pizzas, such as large pepperoni, medium all-meat, or medium seafood from being added to the buffet template in Terminal.
Restricting buffet items is done in Menu Designer. To restrict which menu items may be added to a buffet template, see the Buffet Template Allowed Items Tab topic in Menu Designer Help.
If no menu items are entered in the Buffet Template Allowed Items tab, all items on the menu may be added to the Buffet Templates in Terminal. If even one item is listed on this tab, the restriction feature becomes active, and only items listed on the tab will be available for addition to buffet templates in Terminal. If you attempt to add items not on the list, Terminal will tell you that they are not available for buffet selection.
