Reset Employee Display Names

The Reset Display Name feature allows you re-use the display name of employees when their employment ends. An employee's display name is his or her SpeedLine alias or nickname; it is often the employee's first name. The display name of a logged-in employee appears at the top left of the Terminal screen, and employees who enter orders will have their display name appear on their tickets.

To Activate or Deactivate Reset of Employee Display Names After Termination:

1.Go to the Settings> People> Employee Options icon_employeeOptions> Setup tab.

2.Do one of the following:

To activate reset of employee display names, select the Reset Display Name When Employment Ends check box. The display names of all employees terminated from this point on will be reset to their SpeedLine system ID number. These display names will then be available for assignment to new employees.

To deactivate reset of employee display names, clear the Reset Display Name When Employment Ends check box. SpeedLine will retain the display names of all employees terminated from this point on, and these names will not be available for assignment to new employees.
