In Menu Designer, menu items are grouped and assigned to a route (for example, pepperoni pizza is assigned to Route A, and cans of soda are assigned to Route B). See the Assign Make Routes topic in Menu Designer Help for instructions.
In Store Manager, routes are assigned to physical printers. Route A (Pizza) might be assigned to the kitchen printer, and Route B (Drinks) might be assigned to the prep table printer. More than one route can be assigned to a physical printer (for example, Routes A and B may print at one printer and Routes C and D print at another).
Working together, the assigned routes in Menu Designer and the printer associations set in Store Manager become Printer Make Routes.
