SpeedLine EventStream™ allows integration of your SpeedLine POS with video security systems, or with other systems that use data about notable activity, ticket, bank, and employee events happening in the point of sale.
EventStream, when used to integrate a surveillance system provided by one of our partner vendors, can allow you to see what cashiers or servers are doing when certain events (for example, cash drawer openings) occur in SpeedLine. When used to integrate with our liquor inventory partners, ticket event data can be used to record liquor quantities used.
An EventStream SDK that includes event and XML structure information, testing utilities, and XML samples is available to developers and IT staff who want to develop in-house security applications.
