Store Manager Help

Counting stock items is a necessary part of any inventory process. SpeedLine Inventory uses count batches to set actual stock levels. SpeedLine then compares these actual levels to what is predicted. Typically, you will first add a count batch, and then add stock items to it. At the end of your inventory period, after posting all receive or transfer batches, you will print a count list and use it to take inventory of your stock items. After entering stock item quantities into the count batch, you will post it.

Store Manager allows you to organize your count in different ways: by item categories, by count categories, which can be whatever you set them to be, or by location, such as Dry Storage 1 or Walk-in Fridge. It is also possible to export your figures to a variety of output formats, such as MS Excel or Adobe PDF.

Hint If you run the Usage Variance Report after posting your count, you can check for unusual variance (perhaps caused by mis-posting batches) before closing the period. If you notice an error after entering and posting your count, you can recount only those items needing correction.
