In this step, you will:
•Create a value meal coupon.
The first step in creating a value meal is to create a value meal coupon. The value meal coupon is used to price all the menu items that are included in the meal.
To Create a Value Meal Coupon:
1.In the Menu Tree, expand the Coupons branch, select a coupon group, and then click the Wizard button.
2.At the welcome screen, click Next.
3.Select Value Meal and then click Next.
4.Add menu items:
a.In the Value Meal Items window, click Add.
b.In the Item field, click the Browse button and select a menu item (Anything that can be sold to a customer is considered a menu item. Pizza, drinks, and promotional merchandise are examples of menu items.) or item group that will be included in the value meal.
c.If you want to restrict the item size, select the sizes in the Sizes area. If no sizes are selected, there will be no size restrictions.
d.Leave Full Portion Only selected.
Important Item portions (for example, half-and-half pizzas) are not supported in value meals. |
e.Click OK.
f.To add additional menu items to the value meal, repeat step 4, a-e. When you are finished adding items, click Next.
5.Enter discount amounts:
a.In the Discount Amounts window, enter a discounted price for each item included in the value meal. The value meal total will be added and displayed at the bottom of the window.
b.When you have entered a price for each item, click Next.
6.Follow the instructions in the wizard to set additional restrictions for order types, times, and dates.
Note If you set an expiry date for the value meal coupon, the value meal button will disappear from the menu when the coupon expires. |
7.On the General page, enter a name for the coupon in the Name field. Press Tab to auto-fill the Caption field.
8.Enter an custom ID number for the coupon in the ID field. The ID can include letters, numbers, and symbols up to 20 characters long. What is the ID used for? In Terminal, a coupon can be selected by entering its ID number. If using Paytronix multi-store loyalty, the ID is also used to identify reward coupons. If using coupons with SpeedLine Connect, the ID is used to identify the coupon, as the name cannot be sent.
Important If you want to use letters or symbols in your coupon ID, make sure that the Coupon Selection Method in Store Manager is set to By Name and Alphanumeric ID. This setting is located in Store Manager Settings> Menu Sets> Coupon Options. |
9.Select a tax group from the Tax Group list. If left blank, the tax group of the highest-priced item on the coupon will be discounted.
10.Click Next, and then click Finish to complete the wizard.
