If you are using the Terminal table list, rather than the floor plan display, you must enter table numbers in the Sections/Tables tab to assign tables on the Terminal Table screen. You also have the option of entering sections (groups of tables) if you use them in your restaurant. Follow these steps to enter or change section and table number assignments.

Note If you have selected the Floor Plan option on the Table Service General tab, you do not need to assign numbers on the Sections/Tables tab. These are assigned when the floor plan is built. See Build a Table Floor Plan for instructions. |
1.Go to the Settings> Orders> Table Service 
> Sections/Tables tab.
2.If you have divided your dining area into sections, enter numbers and descriptions for each section:
a.Select the Use Sections check box.
b.Add a new section by clicking the Add button 
at the bottom of the Sections area.
c.To adjust the section number, click the Section # field and type a new number.
d.If you prefer to have your sections listed on the Table screen with a text caption rather than a number, in the Caption field, enter a descriptive caption, for example "patio."
3.In the Tables area, add a new table by clicking the Add button.
4.To adjust the table number, click the Table # field and type a new number.
5.Optionally, click the Seats field and enter the number of seats at the table.
6.If you prefer to have your tables listed on the Table screen with a text caption rather than a number, in the Caption field, enter a descriptive caption, for example, "Table 1"or "Near fireplace."
7.Once you have added all of your tables and sections, you can use the arrow buttons 
near the bottom of each area to rearrange the order.
8.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.
9.Refresh Terminal to implement your new table settings.
