Once you become familiar with the general use of the Floor Builder, the shortcut menu and keyboard shortcuts below will help speed floor plan building.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts make it faster to position and size floor plan components like tables.
To Adjust the Position of Components Using Keyboard Shortcuts
•Hold down the CTRL key while pressing arrow key for the direction you wish to move the selected component. This will move the component one pixel at a time.
•Hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys while pressing an arrow key to move the component 10 pixels at a time.
Shortcut Menu
The Floor Builder shortcut menu (or "right-click menu") can be used to align, size, move, copy or delete floor plan items quickly.

Open from file |
Opens a .slfp file and loads the floor plan in the Floor Builder. Can be used to open a floor plan file sent from head office or another store. See Save Or Load a FloorPlan. |
Save to file |
Saves a floor plan to an .slfp file, so it can be sent to another location, or so you can work with more than one floor plan. See Save Or Load a FloorPlan. |
Cut |
Deletes selected component and copies it to the clipboard. |
Copy |
Copies the selected component to the clipboard. |
Paste |
Pastes the component on the clipboard to the panel that is right-clicked. |
Rotate clockwise |
Rotate a selected image clockwise by 90°. |
Rotate counterclockwise |
Rotate a selected image counter-clockwise by 90°. |
Duplicate |
Copies and pastes the selected component. |
Delete |
Deletes the selected component. |
Bring to Front |
Moves the selected component to the top layer of the panel, above other components. You can use Bring to Front to position buttons on top of a background shape. |
Send to Back |
Moves the selected component to the bottom layer of the panel, below other components. |
Alignment |
See Align a group of components below. |
Size |
See Size a group of components below. |
Align to Grid |
If the component is not already aligned with the invisible underlying grid, snaps it to the nearest grid coordinates. |
Toggle Lock |
Locks or unlocks the position and size of a panel component to prevent unintentional changes. See Lock or unlock panel components below. |
Select All |
Selects all components on the panel. |
