The prep quantity that SpeedLine calculates for an item can be manually increased. Follow these instructions if you want to add extra prep quantity to a menu item. Why would I need to increase prep quantity? An example of one reason would be to meet increased demand for a menu item you are promoting. You know that sales for that item will be increased during the promotional period, so you would want to temporarily increase the prep quantity of that item.
To Add Extra Prep Time to a Menu Item:
1.In the Menu Tree, click a menu item node. 
2.Click the Food Preparation tab.
3.In the Extra Prep % box, type or select the percentage amount that you want to increase the prep quantity by.

Hint You can enter a negative amount in the Extra Prep % field to decrease the prep quantity. |
