If you have enabled voice authorization for payment cards, you can have a manager alert sent whenever voice authorization is used. This lets managers know when staff have entered a voice authorization to help prevent fraudulent use of this feature.
To Send a Manager Alert when a Voice Authorization Number is Entered
1.On the Settings tab, click System.
2.Click Card Processing and then click the Miscellaneous tab.
3.Under Voice Auth, select the Generate Manager Alert check box.
4.On the Edit menu, click Save Changes.
5.Refresh Terminal. When an employee enters a voice authorization number in Terminal, a notice of the manager alert will appear in Terminal, and a manager will need to log in to read the event message.
Note System events are also sent when voice authorization is used. The "Before Voice Auth," "Voice Auth," and "Error Voice Auth" events appear on the System Events report that can be run at day end. |
