To set application properties with Selected Item selected in the Select Type field:
1.If the item is an optional selection and is not required to complete the coupon, select the Optional check box. Example: (A restaurant creates a coupon that gives customers purchasing a medium pizza the option of purchasing up to four additional medium pizzas for the reduced price of $5 each. Since the customer is not required to purchase any additional pizzas, on the Application tab of the coupon, the four additional pizzas would use the Optional setting.)
2.In the Apply Discount To list, choose which price to apply the discount to:
•Total Price: The coupon will be applied to the total price of the item, including modifiers.
•Base Item Price: The coupon will be applied to the base price of the item, and any modifiers added will not be discounted.
3.Enter the discount amount (in dollars or a percentage, depending on the Calc Type setting) in the Value field.
4.(Optional) Enter the maximum allowable discount amount (in dollars) in the Max. Discount field.
