The settings in the Coupon Application Listed Item window determine what ticket items a coupon applies to, and its discount value.
To set an Item's Application Properties
1. In the Item field, click the Browse button. 
2.Select the item or group of items to be discounted and then click OK.
3.Select the item size restriction in the Sizes area. (If you do not want to restrict by size, do not select any check boxes.)
4.If you want to use portions with this coupon, select All Portions from the Look For Modifiers On list. Otherwise, leave Full Portion selected.
5.In the Selection Search Order list, choose how SpeedLine will apply coupons on tickets that have more than one occurrence of the items listed in the Coupon Application Rule window:
•Lowest to Highest Price: The coupon will be applied to the lowest priced occurrence of the item found (this is the typical setting). See an example If "Pizza" is the listed item, and two or more pizzas that meet requirements are found on the ticket, the discount will apply to the one with the lowest price first.
•Highest to Lowest Price: The coupon will be applied to the highest priced occurrence of the item found.
6.In the Apply Discount To list, choose which price to apply the discount to:
•Total Price: The coupon will be applied to the total price of the item, including modifiers.
•Base Item Price: The coupon will be applied to the base price of the item, and any modifiers added will not be discounted.
7.In the Value field, enter the discount amount (this will be dollars or a percentage, depending on the Calc Type setting in the Coupon Application Rule window).
8.If the item needs to include specific modifiers, add them to the Included Modifier list.
9.Click OK to close the Coupon Application Listed Item window. The new item will be displayed in the Item list.
10.If the item is an optional selection and is not required in order to complete the coupon, select the Optional check box. Example: (A restaurant creates a coupon that gives customers purchasing a medium pizza the option of purchasing up to four additional medium pizzas for the reduced price of $5 each. Since the customer is not required to purchase any additional pizzas, on the Application tab of the coupon, the four additional pizzas would use the Optional setting.)
