For subscribers of SpeedLine Marketplace, the responsibility for remitting taxes on orders is determined by the third-party marketplace (DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub). Depending on the region, either the merchant (store), or the marketplace is responsible for collecting and remitting taxes.
When SpeedLine POS receives an order from a third-party marketplaces, it determines tax responsibility based on the merchant location:
•If the marketplace is responsible for remitting taxes:
oThe Full Review screen in Terminal will not display a tax line.
oThe Day File will include a tax amount that matches the value sent by the marketplace.
oReports will show the marketplace-collected tax in a separate section:
▪Day Report > Taxes/Levies
▪Store Manager > Sales Tax
▪SpeedLine Analytics (if subscribed) > Sales Tax
•If the store is responsible for remitting taxes:
oThe Full Review screen in Terminal will show a tax line.
oThe Day File will display the tax amount calculated by SpeedLine.
oReports will show the store-collected tax in a separate section:
▪Day Report > Taxes/Levies
▪Store Manager > Sales Tax
▪SpeedLine Analytics (if subscribed) > Sales Tax
